WOW! We were upgraded to a suite, along with 2 other couples. Service was great from when we fist pulled up in the Valet, until our last stay. Everyone was very helpful, sweet, and fun. The only fall back is room service fees. Bar scene in the lobby happens daily specially on Friday and Saturday night (lots of kids). Go to Stop and Go or a Smoke shop right across for the hotel form some really inexpensive beer ($2.50) like Corona, Medalla, Heineken vs $10 at the hotel bar. I will definitely come back.

I’m not even finished my short stay here at the Ritz Carlton and I have no reservation about giving it 5 stars.
The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. Service is the key and everyone, and I mean everyone, on the staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and pampered.
Obviously, this is not the least expensive place in town but if you have the bucks this is most definitely the place to come. The ambiance is perfect in every respect and the rooms are well appointed.

Spent 4 days here last week.Amazing hotel achitecturally.Beautiful rooms,great service.
Mediocre food.Honor bar ,good bathrooms with Aveda products .
Absolutely the best location.Can walk everywhere in OSJ.
Rooftop plunge pool and spa.Lots of open terraces where you are permitted to smoke,even cigars like I did.Apparently has secret tunnels that connect the hotel with the church across the street.
No good beach nearby,so we went to the El San Juan for the next 4 days!
